We are proud to announce that LVA 8th grader Livya Vikraman has been selected as a local finalist in the National Civics Bee!
She chose to focus on improving student safety by creating safe walking routes to and from school. As one of the highest-scoring essay applicants in the area, she earned the opportunity to advance to the next round—a live competition hosted by the Moore Chamber of Commerce on April 7 at Randall University where she will present her essay to a panel of judges for a chance to win up to $500!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Rohan Mariano, a standout student at Lawton Virtual Academy. Rohan joined LVA in 2021 as an 8th grader, and throughout his time with us he has shown outstanding dedication to both his academics and extracurricular activities.
This past weekend, Rohan was awarded the Presidential Scholarship from Le Moyne College at a recognition ceremony in Syracuse, New York. In addition to his academic accomplishments, Rohan also represented Lawton Public Schools at the 2026 OSSAA 6A State Swim Championships.
Rohan’s achievements reflect years of hard work, perseverance, and the support of his teachers, classmates, and family. We are so proud to have been part of his journey and cannot wait to see all that he accomplishes in the future.

Mrs. Shegog's 8th grade U.S. History class used their creative abilities to demonstrate their understanding of the Civil War through the creation of political cartoons. The students' cartoons that met the requirements of the assignment were entered into a friendly competition. An unnamed judge selected the top 3 cartoons. The winners of the competition are Bradley Close (EMS) - 1st place, Livya Vikraman (MMS) - 2nd place, and Kenija Brown (CMS) - 3rd place. We also wrapped up an amazing Book Fair week—thank you to everyone who helped turn pages and spark imaginations! 📖💘
And to top it all off… an ice cream celebration for our Exact Path goal-getters! 🍦🎉 These students scooped up success by meeting their monthly goals, and we couldn’t be prouder!
