Student council organizes a week during football season solely dedicated to promoting school spirit called Spirit Week. This week is one of the most exciting times at MacArthur because it is packed with fun! Each day has a different "dress-up-day" theme and students and teachers alike dress accordingly. There is a judging every morning of the week to determine who dressed the best that day. Also, the highlight of spirit week is each class' hallway! Monday night, all four classes decorate a designated hallway in the school to display school spirit. Tuesday morning the Hallways are judged. The winning classes are announced at halftime of the football game. Spirit Week is an great way to promote school spirit and make each person at MacArthur proud to be a Highlander.
