Early second semester, Student Council sponsors the annual Mr. MHS Pageant. Ten senior guys are chosen to participate in the pageant based on teacher nominations. During the night performance, all ten contestants strut their stuff on stage including performing a talent., Students who attend the nighttime performance may cast their vote for their favorite five contestants after the performance. Ballots are counted the next day, and the top five candidates who will perform in daytime performance are announced. Judges evaluate the top five contestants during the daytime performance in the opening number, talent, and formal wear. Their scores plus a percentage of the student vote determines the winner. The new Mr. MHS receives a "crown," a congratulatory plaque, and, of course, bragging rights for the rest of the year! All proceeds from Mr. MHS go to benefit the senior class as they prepare for Prom and Senior Week.
