
Mrs. Pirtle
Leadership is a year long class comprised of elected and selected senior students and one elected junior student. Students in this class participate in various aspects of leadership training: Teambuilding, communication skills, time management, goal setting, project planning, group dynamics, managerial skills, student government, and responsible citizenship. They must have initiative, be motivated, adaptable to change, industrious, honest, and able to handle multi-tasks.
Requirements
Participate in class and student council
Complete all assignments
Display good citizenship both in and out of school
Attend a minimum of two games per sport
Attend at least one vocal music/band concert per semester
Attend and/or work events planned by student council and/or leadership
Dress up for activities such as Spirit Week
Participate in essay contests
Complete five hours of community service per nine weeks
Keep a log/activity sheet documenting the fulfillment of requirements
Maintain a notebook with assignments, log, activities, and other pertinent information
Members are selected in the Spring based on resume (teacher recommendations, essays, and interview).
