Connie Allison
Connie Allison teaches German. She has taught at MacArthur High School for 34 years and taught English for most of those years. She has taught in Texas in the areas of Tulia, Ballinger, and Austin. She taught in each area one year. Connie Allison was born and raised in Germany. Her parents are both ministers. She attended German schools, and AAA in Bible at Lubbock Christian University. Connie earned her Bachelors in Education of German and French at Abilene Christian University. She also earned her Masters in German at the University of Texas in Austin. Her most valuable training was Outcome Based Education, which made her a very happy teacher. Another important experience was the Institute in Basic Life Principles. It helped God brighten her life. She received the Lawton Public Schools Distinguished Achievement Award and the Friend of the Highlander Award. She took the placement test and tested out of 25 credit hours in German and French. Teaching was the way for her to take advantage of those hours. She keeps her students motivated by brute force and sheer insanity.
