Ms. Burgamy has been here at Macarthur for 16 years. She has been working for LPS for 21. Before coming to Macarthur she taught Vocational Family and Consumer Science at Tomlinson Junior High for 5 years. Ms. Burgamy has a BS in Vocational and General Home Economics, Masters degree in Education-Guidance and Counseling. She is also certified in Economics, General Science, Biology, Guidance and Counseling, and Administration. Her job is to counsel students in all aspects of Career Development and vocational preparations. She is in charge of the administration and interpretation of vocational inventories. She is Liason with the Great Plains Technology Center, Coordinator of Individualized Educational Programs and Special Services. She also counsels students enrolled in vocational and special education. She assists in registration and enrollment of new students implementation of parent/teacher conferences. Her reason for being in education is she says she loves kids and wants to help them succeeed.
