LPS Pre-K Collaboration

Lawton Public Schools Pre-Kindergarten Collaboration was created to give every 4 year old an opportunity to attend Pre-K in an Early Childhood classroom.

Lawton Public Schools partners with CrossRoads Youth and Family Services (Headstart), Ft. Sill, Playcare, Inc, Wonder Years, Inc and Creative Moments, Inc to create the 2011-2012 Pre-K Collaboration.

If you are a working or non-working family in need of Pre-K check out our Collaboration website for the location that bests suits the needs of your family. Many of our sites provide a full day classroom setting and before and after care.

Therease and Galen Dacus from Circle of Dreams Alpaca Ranch in Fletcher, Oklahoma came to show the students a three month old baby alpaca.  His name was Oberon.  He walked freely about the room and the children were each able to pet him.  Each child received a gift bag that had alpaca fleece and a sticker that said "I hugged an alpaca today".  They enjoyed learning about natural fibers.  Mrs. Dacus brought a hat and scarf that she had made from the alpaca fleece.  She also brought a necklace that she had made which included beads that were made from the fleece.  The children had a marvelous time!
