This site will provide a link for the word of the week, the quote of the week, a fable, a classic literature selection, and a trade book recommendation that goes with the word of the week.
Abbreviations that will be helpful when using the fables, and the classic literature.
P = Aesop's Fables by Jerry Pinkney
L = Fables by Arnold Lobel
Y = A Sip of Aesop by Jane Yolen
CB of HF = Children's Book of Home and Family edited by William Bennett
CB of V = Children's Book of Virtues edited by William Bennett
BV = Book of Virtues by William Bennett
CS = Classic Story
The trade books are easily found in the library or at a a local book store.
