Ms. Donna Catlin
It is an honor and privilege to have been selected to serve as the principal of Brockland Elementary. I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and my master’s degree in administration from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. My first years with Lawton Public Schools were at Pecan Grove Elementary teaching 4th and 6th grades. Upon closure of Pecan Grove I spent nine years at Edison Elementary teaching 5th grade. The last two years were spent at Pat Henry Elementary as an assistant principal. I am married to Michael and he has been employed with Goodyear for thirty years. We have a combined family of two sons, who attended Lawton Public Schools. We have a daughter who is currently a sophomore at Lawton High School. I love working with children, parents, and teachers in the educational process. To wipe the tears away of a crying child or to leap with joy when they have succeeded at something is the highlight of my day. I feel truly blessed to work with the students of Lawton Public Schools.
“SUCCESS - To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a little better; whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is the meaning of success." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
