The Computer Department of the LPS Instructional Media/Technology Center is responsible for the quotes, ordering, delivery, setup, upgrade, software installation, repair, networking and security of all computers within the LPS District.
Based within the Instructional Media/Technology Center, this is a mobile unit that services each of over 40 LPS buildings located throughout Lawton, Oklahoma.
Repair requests are submitted through a secure browser-based work order program that allows each person to check the status of repairs at any given time from within our intranet. Work orders are sorted according to manpower needed, priority, date submitted, location and equipment necessary to complete the task.
LPS is home to over 10,000 network devices, including VoIP phones, Windows PC's, iMacs, iPads, Chromebooks, and constantly increasing.
To save money, many software titles are purchased in bulk licenses by the department. These titles are then offered to the district at reduced-cost. These titles include, but are not limited to: Microsoft Windows™, Microsoft Office™, Omniform™, ...
***All software must be pre-approved by the Instructional Media/Technology Center and installed by a qualified Instructional Media/Technology Center employee.
