Vision Statement
The Lawton Area Adult Basic Education Program, through comprehensive and integrated service, provides adults with skills and resources necessary to be successful in their education, become financially secure, and to be productive members of their communities. The program is designed to empower each individual to reach their full potential as life-long learners.
English as a second language classes
LALLC + ESL Adult Learners + Community = A winning Team!
- for those whose native language is not English
- for adults who wish to learn or improve their ability to speak, read, or write the English language
- or adults who wish to learn about the community in which they live
Basic Education Classes

- for adults wanting to improve reading, writing, and math skills
- for adults who want to help their children succeed
Advanced Basic Education Classes
LALLC + Adult Learners + Community = A winning Team!
- for adults who want to improve their reading, writing, math, science, and social studies skills (Good preparation for GED test)
Family literacy classes:
LALLC + Parents + Children = A winning Team!
- for parents wanting to understand and support their child's literacy, language, and academic development throughout their child's education
- for parents to create a home environment that supports their children's literacy, language, and academic development
- for parents wanting to utilize community resources to obtain and engage in their communities' activities and services
