The end of the day is a busy time for the office. Recently, we have had an excessive amount of students being picked up early. School does not end until 3:45, and our teachers are working on lessons with their students until 3:30-3:45. When your child leaves early, they miss out on valuable time to finish assignments, extra one-on-one time with the teacher or important Drop Everything And Read Time.
We know the parking and congestion at the end of the day is frustrating, but it is imperative that your child remain in class until the end of the day unless they have a valid reason like a doctor's appointment.
Also, If your child has a change in the way they are going to be picked up at the end of the day, please call the office no later than 3:15. If you call after 3:15 we cannot guarantee that your child will get the message. As I said at the beginning of this article, "The end of the day is a busy time for the office."
