Beth Wheeler - Kindergarten

My name is Beth and I am one of the Kindergarten teachers here at Hugh Bish. I am actually from Maryland though. I moved here because of my husband’s job. Thanks to his Army career I have had the opportunity to teach in a variety of places. I started out in Fayetteville, NC in 1999, in Kindergarten of course. I next taught First Grade in Vicenza, Italy. Then I came here and have been enjoying teaching Kindergarten again.  When I’m not at school I am spending time with my family. In addition to my husband, I have a son Tommy, who is nine, and a daughter Megan, who is four. They definitely keep me busy!

Lindsey Herbert - Kindergarten

I am Lindsey Herbert and this is my eighth year of teaching Kindergarten. I am from Maysville, Oklahoma and went to college in Ada at East Central University.  I enjoy working with children.  I am married to my college sweetheart Ricky and we have two children a daughter Jadyn, she is in Kindergarten here at Hugh Bish, and a son Jake who is two. For the last seven years I taught at Howell Elementary and I am very excited to be here as a Hugh Bish Knight.

Mrs. Cooper

I have been at Hugh Bish for 24 years.  I have taught T-1, 1st grade, and 2nd grade.  Teaching is fun, exciting, and very rewarding.  I have a passion for teaching my students to read!  My goal each year is to make a difference in the lives of my students and others.

Ashley Ghrayyeb - 1st Grade

My name is Mrs. Ghrayyeb and I am a third year teacher here at Hugh Bish. I have previously taught kindergarten, and I am so excited to be teaching first grade this year.  I have been married for two years and have 2 dogs, Peso and JoJo.  I love to teach and feel so blessed to be doing what I love each day here at HB. Go KNIGHTS!

Lindsey Raulston - 1st Grade

Hi! My name is Lindsay Ralston. I am a first grade teacher here at Hugh Bish. I am from Lawton by way of the military. I went to Central Junior High School and Lawton High School.  I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Early Childhood Education in the Fall of 2009. I have worked with the Military in the past as the School Liaison Officer.  I have a wonderful family. I have 2 nieces and 3 nephews. I have a fantastic boyfriend named Chaz. My baby is a little Shia-Poo puppy named Daisy. I am so excited to teach at Hugh Bish and your first grade children.

Helen Pugh - 2nd Grade

Ms. Pugh is a 2nd grade teacher and has been at Hugh Bish for over 20 years. She is also the director of our extended day program. She is an “Army Brat” and a native Lawtonian and also attended Lawton Public Schools. Ms. Pugh has two sons and a proud Grandma of two. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

Adalia Kamaunu - 2nd Grade

Jennifer Powell - 3rd Grade

Ms. Powell was born and raised in Lawton, OK.  She graduated from Cameron University in 1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. This is her 8th year teaching in Lawton Public Schools. She has two daughters. Bethany is 19 and attends Cameron.  Jessika is 13 and attends Tomlinson Middle School. She also has 3 dogs named Molly, Dolly, and George.

Karla Shipper - 3rd Grade

Mrs. Shipper is from Denver, Colorado. She graduated from Colorado State University in 2001. This is her 11th year teaching elementary school. Her husband is in the Army; therefore she has taught in Colorado, Texas, and Oklahoma. They live in Elgin with their 2 year old son, Grant and dog, Chloe. We are currently awaiting the arrival of our second son this winter.  

Hollie Clemons - 4th Grade

When I’m not at school I love to spend time with my family.  My husband and I have two children, Hanah is 11 and Case is 7.  We spend our time hunting, fishing and are involved with sports, 4-H and Boy Scouts.  I also love to read every chance I get!  I grew up in El Reno, OK and in 2005 moved with my husband and kids to the Elgin area.  I graduated from Cameron University in 2008 with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education.  I have taught first grade here in Lawton and 6th, 7th and 8th grade math as well as 7th and 8th grade reading at a school near Chickasha, OK.  I am so excited to be here at Hugh Bish and to have the opportunity to work with such an amazing staff and a wonderful group of kids!

Don Albert - 4th Grade

I have been a teacher in the Lawton Public Schools for 20 years. I have three children that attend schools here in Lawton. I enjoy teaching and my reward is watching my students grow academically and socially in the classroom. This is my first year at Hugh Bish and enjoy being here very much. Thank you for letting me be apart of your child life!

Larissa Krusinsky - 5th Grade

My name is Larissa Krusinsky.  I have taught 2nd and 6th grade but am currently teaching 5th grade.  I am a native Lawtonian with a husband and two children.  I enjoy spending time with my family.    I attended Cameron University and received my Bachelors in Education and my Masters degrees in Reading.  My heart is with students and teaching is a passion.
