History:  Sheridan Road Children’s School had its beginning in the fall of 1962, housed jointly with Geronimo Road School in the present location of Geronimo School. Upon completion of the Sheridan Road Children’s School, a total of 356 students were attending the 14 classrooms, two room office, clinic, workroom, and auditorium-gymnasium complex. These have been two additions to the present structure and the student attendance has averaged 500. Sheridan Road Children’s School is named for General Sheridan who fought in the Civil War. Although located on Fort Sill, the school itself is part of the Lawton Public School District.

Enrollment:  In order to enroll at Sheridan Road Children's School you must live and work on Fort Sill.

Daily Arrival Times:  Students should not arrive before 9:00 A.M. (Exception: Students eating breakfast. Breakfast is served at 8:35 A.M.

Medical Requirements:  Medicine Administration Forms are required when a student needs medication during school hours. Form for non-prescription medication must be filled out by a parent and witnessed in the office, as medicine is required. Form for prescription medication must be filled out by physician and then filled out by a parent and witnessed in the office, as medicine is required.

Breakfast Prices:  10 meals full price - $8.50, 10 meals reduced price - $3.00

Lunch Prices:  10 meals full price - $17.50, 10 meals reduced price - $4.00
