Principal History:
Dr. Jamie Polk has taught 2nd through 8th grade in Oklahoma, Iowa, Georgia, & Bamberg, Germany. She is currently an adjunct professor for Cameron University teaching research in their graduate program Jamie has provided professional development to numerous school districts and organizations around the country and has presented at state and national conferences. Her areas of expertise include data analysis, assessment, research-based strategies, and reading. Her focus and passion is helping elementary and secondary educators close the achievement gap for minority students. For the fall 2007, in-service at Bishop Public School she presented, Infusing Diversity into the Curriculum. In addition, she has presented Data Analysis Improving Student, and Professional Learning Communities: Bringing Out the Best in Everyone. When working with teachers and administrators, Dr. Polk employs both common sense and humor to facilitate the understanding of curriculum mapping and how it can positively impact student achievement.
