Library

In the Lincoln Elementary Library we house approximately 8500 items for student, parent and teacher use. This includes children's literature, children and teacher magazines, teacher instructional materials, research materials, instructional videos for teacher use, and a parent section.

We encourage all of our parents to join the library. They will be added to the computer and can check out up to five books to keep for as long as two weeks. Parents may come as often as they would like. The library is open before school from 8:30 until 9:00 and after school from 3:15 to 4:00. We have a "Beads for Books" incentive program for all parents who participate. At our monthly assembly, we also give a certificate to the parent who has checked out the most books.

Wireless Lab:

Our Wireless lab is located on the second floor across from both Fourth Grade classrooms. Presently, we have 30 Mac iBook Laptop Computers for our students. For the Primary grades, our focus is on the basics: phonics, phonemic awareness, reading readiness, comprehension, math facts etc. In the Intermediate grades, we use Study Island Reading and Math to help prepare all students in grades 3 – 5 for the State Mandated Criteria Reference Tests (CRT).

Stationary Lab:

Our stationary lab is located directly across from the office on the first floor. It houses 32 Mac computers that run various programs for students. The main program used is SuccessMaker. SuccessMaker focuses on reading and math. All grades visit the lab to use this program. Students focus on 15 minutes of math, 15 minutes of reading and 5 minutes of vocabulary.
