Welcome!

The Douglass PTA wants to extend a warm welcome to all our school families. We would also like to encourage all parents, teachers, grandparents, community and business leaders to join our PTA.



PTA - Who are we?

The local PTA is volunteer organization of parents and teachers whose focus is strictly on the children, promoting and environment for children to grow into healthy and happy responsible citizens. Our goal is to impact, support and enhance the learning environment at Douglass. When you join the local PTA you also become a member of the state and national PTA.



Ways for parents to be Involved in their child's education.

There are many different ways to support the PTA whether you have a lot of time or a little time to give:


  • Pay membership dues of $5.00 to join the PTA.
  • Volunteer during various PTA evens or fundraisers.
  • Help prepare and sale popcorn and pickles every Friday.
  • Assist your child's teacher in the classroom or on field trips.
  • Let school staff know your availability to volunteer.
  • Attend PTA /school board meetings and speak to issues of concern.
