Country Club Heights is very proud of the partnerships we've forged with local businesses, organizations, and individuals. Our students, staff, and school community have been very blessed by the generosity of many people. Everyone who goes out of their way to make a difference in the lives of our students leads us to appreciate and truly believe in the spirit of community. Each generous act reminds us of a quote we truly believe in and exemplify: "It takes a village to raise a child." Although many people have contributed time, money or gifts to the Country Club Heights students recently, it would be impossible to name them all. However, we would like to recognize a few:
Chili's Restaurant has been a faithful supporter of C.C.H. for the last two years. The employees and management have generously donated their time (and money) to take several students Christmas shopping each year. They also sponsor our Student of the Month luncheons as well as provide lunch for every C.C.H. staff member once a year.
Fort Sill National Bank has donated several new books to our library, provided Newspapers in Educations subscriptions for our Sixth graders, and plans to support other school activities.
Prince Hall Lodge #9 has given in a variety of ways. The members of Prince Hall Lodge #9 made a very generous monetary donation that was used to fund a trip to the bowling alley and refreshments to reward our Honor Roll students for the first semester. They also provided toys and prizes for our Accelerated Reader Reward Store and socks and underwear for our children's emergency clothes closet. Most recently they sponsored an Easter egg hunt for our primary students. Most importantly, though, they have provided a service to our students that far exceeds any monetary value we could assign to it. The men of Prince Hall Lodge #9 have committed to reading with individual students and mentoring some of our intermediate boy students.
Rotary Club donates a new book to our library in honor of every guest speaker they have at their meetings. They have generously made a two-year committment to our students and school library with this program.
Rick Wolfe has donated school supplies, a beautiful piano for the auditorium, holiday dinner ingredients for numerous students' families, and Christmas gifts for many of our students.
We are so thankful for all the support our school and our students receive from the local community. There are many more volunteers and donors than the few mentioned here that deserve a heartfelt "Thank you!" The best way we can think of to repay our generous donors is to teach our students to give back to their community as these thoughtful individuals and businesses have modeled so effeciently for the students of C.C.H.
