Mrs. Dirickson Professional Education Statement: As a teacher, I feel that young children learn best in an environment that promotes self-confidence. I believe that confidence is the key to learning and that the skills acquired during these early childhood years are very important. It is during this time that the attitudes about learning and school develop. The social skills learned during this period of their lives enables them to succeed in today’s society. Children are like wet cement. Whatever falls on them makes an impression.

Miss

Professional Education Statement: I strive to create a classroom where my students feel comfortable expressing themselves in a variety of ways. My students will be exposed to singing, dancing, dramatic reenactment, and other more conventional forms of teaching. This will help them to learn and develop their own identity. My students will be taught to make good choices and to be accountable for their own actions. When my students leave my class, I want them to know how to interact appropriately with their peers and all other members of society. I believe that all children need to feel special, and that it is my job to ensure that they are recognized for their unique gifts each and every day.
