Mrs. McCann was born and raised in Lawton, Oklahoma. She attended Taft Elementary, Whittier Elementary, Tomlinson Junior High, as well as Lawton High School. Mrs. McCann completed undergraduate work at Cameron University and then went on to receive her Masters Degree in Elementary Education and Administration at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Mrs. McCann has been an educator for twenty-six years in the Lawton Public Schools. This is her fourteenth year to serve as an elementary school principal.

  Mrs. McCann and her husband Harold have been happily married for more than 37 years. They have two children and four beautiful grandchildren. Mr. McCann is currently the principal of Geronimo Road Elementary School at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. He is completing his sixteenth year as an elementary principal.

  Mr. and Mrs. McCann enjoy being active in the Logos program for school-aged children at Centenary United Methodist Church, spending time with their family and friends, attending youth sporting events, and especially, enjoying quality time with their four grandchildren.

  Mrs. McCann strongly believes in the highest of expectations for all children. After serving eight years as the principal of Brockland with a most committed staff by her side, she would like for everyone to know that academic skills balanced with social skills will insure the success of all children. The entire staff of Brockland Elementary school is committed to this goal as they work together to reach and teach their beautiful students.
