The Attorney General of Oklahoma has ruled that "it is the duty of school officials, i.e., principals, to refuse admission to any school in the State of Oklahoma any child who does not have the required certificate of immunization or exemption." (Title 70 of Oklahoma Statues, sections 1210-191-193: "Rules and Regulations or Immunization for School Children"). Students will not be in compliance with state law unless they have a certificate for immunization or valid exemption on file.
For your convenience, The Comanche County Health Department, located at 1010 S. Sheridan Road, offers free vaccinations every Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (except on holidays).
For further immunization information, please call the Immunization Division, Oklahoma State Department of Health, (405) 271-4073
SPECIAL NOTE: All Secondary School offices are open throughout the summer. To save time, please take updated shot records to your childs school so that the secretary may update your childs immunization records.
